OUR STORY

The Italian Australian Foundation Inc (formerly the Italian Services Institute) was founded in 1991 on the initiative of Sir James Gobbo AC CVO and is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profit Commission.

OUR PRINCIPAL PURPOSES

To make grants to provide or facilitate educational, cultural and heritage services that advance the appreciation of Italian language, culture, skills and heritage for persons of Italian descent resident in Australia.

To operate an Italian resource and research centre providing data, information, public exhibitions and educational, cultural and heritage services for persons of Italian descent resident in Australia and the broader Australian community.
